Life’s sweetness is meant to be shared
Three sober friends—two inspired women full of bright, determined energy, and their tired but adequate friend—shared a simple dream: to make the world a little sweeter. Bound by friendship, recovery, and a belief that joy can be created one small act at a time, they imagined a place where kindness could be tasted, not just felt. That dream became Just Desserts, a dessert company built on love, second chances, and the idea that life’s sweetness is meant to be shared. Together, they set out to offer the world something tender and hopeful: a reminder that even in a busy, complicated world, there’s always room for something sweet.

Rice Pudding with Apricots
I like when Grandma makes rice pudding because the whole kitchen smells like a hug. It’s warm and sweet, and the steam fogs up the window over the sink so I can draw little smiley faces with my finger. She lets me stir the pot sometimes, even though she says I have to be “very serious about it,” which is funny because it’s hard to be serious when you’re waiting for something that tastes like a cloud made of dessert.
The best part is the apricots. They’re soft and shiny, like tiny pieces of sunshine hiding in the pudding. When I scoop them up with my spoon, they look like treasure—like the kind pirates would fight over. They taste sweet and a little tangy, and when I bite them, they mix with the creamy pudding and make my whole mouth feel happy. I always try to get an apricot in every bite, but sometimes I eat them too fast and then I have to dig around the bowl to find more.
When I finally sit down with my bowl, it feels like the world gets quieter. The pudding is warm on my tongue, and the apricots are squishy and perfect, and I don’t even care if I get a little on my shirt. Grandma laughs and says I look like I’m “in my own little universe,” and maybe I am. If there was a planet made of rice pudding with apricots, I think I’d live there forever.
